Hi, my name is Bekah Hoolihan, and I am a Veterinary Assistant at Neighborhood Veterinary Hospital in Oceanside. I am passionate about providing high-quality care and helping my patients feel comfortable and confident in their treatment.
Personal Hobbies and Interests
Outside of work, I love to read, garden, watch the Padres and F1, and hang out with friends. At home I have two orange kitties: Marius, my scaredy cat, and Wesley, who is more like a dog than a cat.
Favorite Part of My Job
What I enjoy most is being part of every step of a pet's life and helping them through the difficult moments.
Why I Chose This Profession
I grew up in the veterinary field with my dad being a vet, and I fell in love with the work and the desire to help animals.
Education
I graduated from UC Davis in 2020 with a major in Cultural Anthropology and two minors in Women and Gender Studies and Jewish Studies.

My professional interests include internal medicine, dentals, and blood draws.
Work History
I worked as a veterinary assistant at Pacific Beach Veterinary Hospital from 2015 to 2019, alongside Dr. Christopher Hoolihan. My experience also includes Penasquitos Pet Clinic (2020), Neighborhood Veterinary Hospital (2021–2024), Monticello Veterinary Practice (2024), and Academy Animal Hospital (2024–2025).
