Hi, my name is Ceceilia Castro, and I am the Practice Manager at Neighborhood Vet Hospital of Peñasquitos. I am passionate about providing high-quality care and helping pets and their families feel supported every step of the way.
Personal Hobbies and Interests
Outside of work, I enjoy photography, painting, horses, and helping others wherever I can. At home I have a cat, two dogs, and two horses.
Favorite Part of My Job
What I enjoy most is being able to be there for both owners and their pets.
Why I Chose This Profession
I chose this profession because I wanted to be a voice for animals and be there to treat and help them.
Education
I earned my Veterinary Assistant certification in 2008 and am currently attending RVT school through VASE to further my education in the veterinary field.
Professional Background
My professional interests include dentistry, general practice, and wellness and preventative medicine.
Work History
I have worked in this field as a veterinary assistant since 2009. I began at Lakeside Veterinary Hospital as a Veterinary Assistant (2008–2010), then worked at Helen Woodward Animal Center in Veterinary Assistant and Adoptions roles (2010–2012). I joined Neighborhood Vet Hospital of Peñasquitos in May 2013, where I have served as Practice Manager and Veterinary Assistant ever since.
