Personal Hobbies and Interests
At home I have two cats: Mazey, a Domestic Shorthair tabby who is a bit crazy and loves to play fetch, and Monty, a Domestic Shorthair tabico who is shy and reserved but will come to say hi when enticed with scrambled eggs.
Favorite Part of My Job
My favourite part of this work is bringing comfort back to a patient's life and joy back to clients through their pets.
Why I Chose This Profession
I chose to pursue veterinary medicine because it combines my passion for working with animals with my interest in medicine and problem-solving.
Education
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology from UC San Diego between 2016 and 2020. I am currently in veterinary school at Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine, pursuing my DVM with an expected graduation in 2028.

I really enjoy orthopedic surgery and ophthalmology.
Work History
From November 2023 to August 2024, I worked as a Veterinary Assistant at Ocean Hill Equine Medical Group, an equine veterinary clinic. There I assisted doctors with day-to-day activities such as lameness exams, dentals, vaccinations, and joint injections.
