Hi, my name is Hannah Garrison, and I am a Veterinary Assistant at Neighborhood Vet Hospital of Peñasquitos. I am passionate about providing high-quality care and helping my patients feel comfortable and confident in their treatment.
Personal Hobbies and Interests
Outside of work, I enjoy paddle boarding, going to the beach with my dog, and watching reality TV. At home I have Maximus, a beagle-terrier mix who is the sweetest boy in the world.
Favorite Part of My Job
What I enjoy most is simply being able to work with animals every day.
Why I Chose This Profession
I chose this profession because I've always had a passion for the medical field and love being around animals.
Education
I graduated from Pima Medical Institute (2021–2022) as a Certified Veterinary Assistant.
Professional Background
My professional interests include radiology and phlebotomy.
Work History
I completed my externship at Kearny Mesa Veterinary Clinic and was hired there as a receptionist and veterinary assistant after finishing my hours, working in general practice from April 2022 to August 2024. My responsibilities included appointment scheduling, record keeping, payment processing, patient check-in and check-out, blood draws, animal restraint, catheter administration, treatment and procedure explanations, and cytology interpretation. I joined Penasquitos Pet Clinic in August 2024.
