Hi, my name is John Beccari. I am fortunate to have been practicing as a small animal Veterinarian in San Diego since moving here from New York in 1995.
Personal Hobbies and Interests
When I'm away from work, you will usually find me hiking with my energetic and vocal Blue Heeler, Mako. I also love attending music festivals, RV camping with my wife all around the country, playing pickleball with my daughters, and cheering on the Padres! Quieter times involve cuddling with my 5 cats, including our new female Maine Coon kitten, Paisley.
Favorite Part of My Job
Particularly, I look forward to helping work through difficult cases and utilize my surgical skills to improve the health and comfort of my patients.
Education
My vet school career at Cornell University showed me that my love for dogs and cats put me on the right path to provide excellent medical care to these amazing pets.
Work History
I spent the majority of my veterinary career at Academy Animal Hospital in Solana Beach as a practice owner for 20 years, building long-lasting relationships with beloved pets and their owners. After the sale of the practice, I continued at Academy alongside other interim roles until I was offered a permanent role at Bonsall. I am very excited to be working along with Dr. Killam to provide the same high level of veterinary care to their patients and owners.
