A native of North County, Dr. Sarah Dorsey’s journey to veterinary medicine took her from the redwoods of UC Santa Cruz to the beaches of the Caribbean and the mountains of Colorado.
Personal Hobbies and Interests
At home in Oceanside, Dr. Dorsey is outnumbered by her family: a husband, a young daughter, two dogs, and three cats. When she isn’t managing her own domestic zoo, she can be found paddleboarding, talking about the antics of her daughter or attempting to make new human and animal friends.
Favorite Part of My Job
While she has a professional passion for preventative medicine, ophthalmology, pain management, and soft tissue surgery, Dr. Dorsey is equally dedicated to the "human" side of her job—educating owners so they can feel like the heroes of their pet’s health.
Education
After graduating from Ross University in 2017, she completed a rigorous internship at BluePearl Irvine before honing her skills in the high-stakes world of emergency medicine.
